Recent Past and Future

The years of the pandemic were hard on the Ballet but, in 2022, with the help of “Amigos del Ballet” the rehearsals resumed and the Ballet started looking forward to preparing for the celebration of its 50th Anniversary in the summer of 2025 while also participating in several  traditional festivals.

 

The 50th Anniversary gala at Angela Peralta was a great success and during the whole year the Ballet and its founder, Maestra Gloria Navarette, received much publicity in the bilingual press and were the subject of several interviews and celebrations.

 

The people of San Miguel are very proud of their Ballet and its shows are always very well attended and enjoyed. For the visitors to San Miguel it is an opportunity to learn about one aspect of the rich Mexican culture by being exposed to dances and traditions from different regions of the country.

 

As an A.C. (Associacion Civil) the Ballet can now establish relationships with regional and national organizations and will have more opportunities for traveling and performing nationally and internationally.
